Handmade Silver Jewelry

This is our silver collection: rings, necklaces, earrings and pendants worked from real silver rather than plated brass. We use three grades, and we always state which one a piece is made from. S925 sterling silver is 92.5% silver alloyed for hardness — the standard for pieces that get worn daily. S990 silver runs higher at 99% and has a softer, brighter white. 999 fine silver is as pure as practical jewelry gets; it is noticeably softer, takes a lovely matte, and darkens with wear in a way many people specifically want.

Every silver piece here is finished by hand. The "Moon by Ear" earrings are double-sided with texture on both faces, so they read properly from every angle rather than only front-on. The Starfish rings are sandblasted to a matte finish by hand, which is why each one has slightly different shading in its crevices. The 999 fine silver letter studs are cut and filed individually, then tumbled — no two pairs have quite the same edge softness.

A practical note if you have never owned fine silver: it tarnishes. That is not a defect, it is what real silver does when it meets air and skin. A quick rub with a silver cloth brings it straight back. Pieces stamped "925" or "990" on plated metal will not do that — ours will, and we would rather tell you up front.

Is this solid silver or silver plated?

Solid. Every piece is made from real silver (S925 sterling, S990 or 999 fine silver) and the grade is named in each product title. Nothing in this collection is plated base metal.

What is the difference between S925, S990 and 999 silver?

The numbers are silver purity. S925 is 92.5% silver, alloyed for everyday hardness. S990 is 99% silver with a brighter, softer feel. 999 fine silver is the purest practical grade — softer still, matte-friendly, and it develops a natural patina with wear.

Will the silver tarnish?

Yes, and that is normal for genuine silver. Tarnish wipes off easily with a silver polishing cloth. Pieces finished with a matte or sandblasted surface darken more slowly than mirror-polished ones.

Can I get a ring resized?

Many of our silver rings are deliberately open or adjustable by design, so you can set the size yourself within a range. Fixed-size rings should be chosen using the size chart on the product page.

How should I care for silver jewelry?

Store it dry and separate, take it off before swimming or showering, and wipe it with a silver cloth after wear. Avoid silver dips on matte or sandblasted finishes, which can strip the texture.
